Pilgrimage, history, and devotion

The Shrine of Our Lady of Grace

The shrine of Our Lady of Grace is now located at St Mary at the Elms Church in Ipswich.

In September 2002, a modern replica of the statue of Our Lady of Grace was installed there. The statue was carved by sculptor Robert Mellamphy and is based on the statue venerated in Nettuno, Italy, often called “The English Lady”.

The shrine is ecumenical in character. It is not owned by St Mary at the Elms, but the church hosts the shrine and welcomes pilgrims and visitors.

The Guild continues to promote the shrine and encourage devotion to Our Lady of Grace through prayer and pilgrimage.
