Pilgrimage, history, and devotion
Become a member of the Guild
The Guild of Our Lady of Grace of Ipswich welcomes new members of all ages and from all Christian traditions, as well as anyone who wishes to support its aims.
Members are invited to take part in monthly gatherings for prayer, fellowship, discussion, and refreshments. These meetings are currently held at 11am on the first Tuesday of each month at St Mary at the Elms, Ipswich.
The Guild exists to:
- bring honour to Our Lady of Grace
- work for Christian unity
- promote the Shrine of Our Lady of Grace in Ipswich
Alongside monthly meetings, members may also take part in themed talks, presentations, local pilgrimage walks, and pilgrimages, including visits to Walsingham in Norfolk and, it is hoped, Nettuno in Italy, where the reputed original statue of the Ipswich shrine, known as the English Lady, is venerated.
Membership is £10 per year. This helps support the care and preservation of the Ipswich shrine and statue, and contributes towards future events and activities.
To join the Guild, or to ask about membership, please contact the Membership Secretary, Nicholas Jardine, on 01449 761755, answerphone, or by email at [email protected].
